FAQ

Who are our guides?

Our guides are highly-experienced art historians. We believe a guided tour must be an enjoyable and enriching experience for all. Hence, we select only those guides who have a real passion for the subject and are able to communicate it in a simple and interesting way, without using any jargon. Moreover, all our guides speak English fluently.

How to book

Select a tour to view available dates and tickets (the system is constantly updated). If you wish to make a booking, just click the ‘book now’ button to fill in the booking form and the payment details. Please be aware that unless you have paid online for your tickets, the booking is not confirmed. The guide cannot accept any cash payment and will welcome only those visitors who have booked in advance via our website.

Why do I have to pay in advance?

It is a guarantee both for you and for us. Advance payment allows us to make firm bookings. This is necessary as we also limit groups to a maximum of 25 people to maintain the quality of our tours.

Is it safe to pay online?

Your credit card details are processed via Paypal secure server, one of the world’s best system for online payments. Only Paypal has access to your credit card details. Leonardo in Milan’s staff will be able to see just whether the payment has been completed successfully or not.

What happens once I have made a booking?

Once you have completed the booking process, you will receive two emails, one from Paypal regarding the online payment and one from Leonardo in Milan confirming the number of tickets, date and time for the visit. A few days before the tour we will send you an email with further details including the name of your guide. If you do not receive any email, please contact us so that we can investigate the situation.

How can I contact you if I experience problems during the booking process?

Please fill in the Contacts form and we will answer back within 1 – 2 working days (please be aware that our offices are closed during weekends). Furthermore, the email you will receive once the booking is completed, contains also our customer service number, which is open Mon-Fri from 9am to 6pm.

Are there any concessions for young and elderly people?

We buy full price tickets from the Last Supper Ticket Office well in advance of the guided tour. Hence, it is impossible for us to make any change at a later stage. We try to compensate by offering you a top quality guided tour in groups of no more than 25 participants. Please bear in mind that under Italian State rules, even a kid (2 or 3 years old) counts for one head, and therefore a ticket is necessary. We know this may sound absurd, so please contact us before booking if you have a child with you, and we will try to find a solution.

How long will I stay in the Last Supper?

Due to Italian Ministry of Culture’s regulations and in order to preserve such a fragile artwork, visits to the Last Supper can last no more than 15 minutes. However, we offer you a 1h and 30 min visit including the nearby church of S.Maria delle Grazie, giving you the opportunity to fully understand the greatness of Leonardo da Vinci, thanks to our excellent guides.

Is your website the official Last Supper Ticket Office?

We are an agency organising guided tours and cultural events. The Last Supper is under the management of the Italian Ministry of Culture. If you have booked with the Last Supper Ticket Office, you can contact them on: +390292800360.

Will I receive the tickets in the post?

You do not need to worry about this. The guide will take care of collecting the tickets at the ticket office on your behalf. You can just relax and enjoy the visit.

If I am unable to attend the tour, do I get a refund?

If you cancel by e-mail at least 7 calendar days in advance of the scheduled departure, there is no cancellation fee and you will be fully refunded. If you cancel by e-mail between 3 and 6 calendar days in advance of the scheduled departure, you will be charged a 50% cancellation fee. If you cancel within 48 hours of the scheduled departure, you will be charged a 100% cancellation fee. Please send us an email using our contacts form and the reference number you find on the confirmation email, and we will refund you via Paypal.

Can I buy another ticket at the last minute?

Our website is constantly updated. You just need to check the number of tickets still available for your chosen tour and complete the online booking form. Unfortunately it is not possible to add extra participants on the same day of the visit.

Is there a minimum number of participants for the visit to take place?

Please be reassured that once you have booked, the visit will take place even if you are the only participant. If the visit is cancelled due to unusual and unforeseeable circumstances, we will obviously refund you the full amount you have paid without any cancellation fee.

Is it possible to book a visit in a different time/date from those indicated on the website?

We offer this service only to groups of at least 10 participants. Please fill in the Corporate form and let us know your requirements. Please be aware that to visit the Last Supper, it is better to book at least two months in advance. Hence it may be that there are no tickets available for the date you have requested.

What happens if I am late?

Visits start at the time indicated in the information we send you. It is important that you arrive on time and if possible even a few minutes in advance, because the group will not wait for you.

That person with long hair, is she Mary Magdalene?

Unfortunately we have to disagree with Dan Brown and his ‘The Da Vinci Code’. If you are curious to know why, just ask the guide at one of our tours.
